About Me …

 

My proper name is Rev. Dr. Colin Dow, but most people just call me Dowboy. I am the minister of St. Vincent Street – Milton Free Church of Scotland in the centre of Glasgow. I am married to Kathmar and I have 4 great kids. My PhD is in Solid State Chemistry (hence the interest in the Christianity -Science Interface). I enjoy going to the gym, reading, Aberdeen FC (and Partick Thistle FC) and am trying to get interested in Birdwatching, though I still can’t tell the difference between a crow and a rook.

I became a Christian at the age of 15. I enjoy reading Scottish Church History and have spent quite a bit of time reading up on the 19th Century Church Planter Andrew Bonar. I am on the Scottish Committee of the Africa Inland Mission (AIM) among other things.
